This post brought to you by The Walmart Foundation. All opinions are 100% mine.
Did you know that more than 50 million Americans don't know where their next meal will come from? Traditionally there is a huge decrease in food and charitable donations to food banks around the country during the springtime.
Walmart is working with Feeding America and four of the most recognizable food brands in America (ConAgra, General Mills, Kraft and Kellogg's), to Help bridge the Spring hunger gap in a nationwide Fighting Hunger Together initiative from Monday, April 9 through April 30. Consumers can join the fight against hunger in-store or in the comfort of their own home through Facebook.
I would like to highly encourage you to vote on Facebook between April 9-30. You can also participate in Fighting Hunger Together by going in-stores between April 9th and April 30th. By purchasing select products from ConAgra, General Mills, Kraft and Kellogg's, customers can donate meals to Feeding America or Action for Healthy Kids, a nonprofit fighting childhood hunger. Be sure to check out in-store signage and packaging to make a purchase and help make a difference. Don't forget to tell you friends and family as well because every vote counts. Help us get the word out. I will be voting for Yuma AZ. Not only is it high on the list of Communities for Fighting Hungar Together, it is also in my home state. What community will you be voting for? Let me know in the comments below.
