Spring Cleaning in the Garden

/ Monday, March 19, 2012 /

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done.. All opinions are 100% mine.

I never understood why people clean in the spring time. Spring is when the weather starts warming up and flowers start blooming. Why would I want to spend my time inside cleaning? Shouldn't we save the cleaning for winter?

Today I would like to talk about cleaning OUTSIDE the home. More specifically... your yard. When you have guests over, your front yard is the first thing they will see. It only makes since that you should spend some time cleaning it up.

Flowers are a simple way to add color, beauty, and great curb appeal to any yard. However, you can't just go around tossing bulbs into the dirt. There is a science when it comes to planting. You must know when to plant, where to plant, what flowers look great together, ect..., ect... Luckly the girls at Dig Drop Done and Curbside Chaos are hear to help. The 3 ladys (Marcy, Juliana, and Evelyn) share some surprising ideas, beautiful tips, and simple tricks. Be sure to watch each of their videos. They are hilarious.

I relate most with Marcy who is always looking for an easier way to do things allowing her to spend more time on things that matter most such as her kids.

You will also find a planting chart letting you know what to plant when, how far apart you should plant the bulbs, and how deep you should plant them. And be sure to try out Curbside Chaos's Garden Guru Tool located in the bottom left of the screen. This tool will help you figure out which bulb is perfect for your home depending upon where you live! It only takes a second and is super simple.

Step 1 – Pick your Country
Step 2 – Pick your location within that Country
Step 3 – Choose the type of bulb you want to grow
Step 4 – Check out the Planting Guide that shows you how to plant your bulbs.
