Reader Space - Tomato Cage Chandelier

/ Tuesday, January 17, 2012 /
Today's Reader Space tutorial was sent to me from Beary Renovated!

{The following is in the reader's own words.}

This little baby was so fun to make.. and turned out WAY better than I thought it would!

All you will need is:
 a Tomato cage

 Mardi Gras Beads

Hot Glue Gun
Fake Flowers
Wire Clippers

Here we GO!
Step 1: Sand the tomato cage to remove and excess oils or rust

Step 2:

Clip off the top ring and bottom ring of the tomato cage.

If your wire clippers break on the wire....

You may need to resort to extreme measures!!

Step 3:

Bend the top of the wire cage together so you can glue it into a point.

Curve the ends of the wire!! I chose to bend them in a swirled fashion!

Step 4:

Take your Mardi Gras Beads..

and glue them along the edges of the chandelier with your hot glue gun!

Step 5:

Drape the leftover Beads along the Chandelier!!

Step 6:
Spray Paint your chandelier!!
(I had to hang my chandelier on a clothes line to get full coverage)

Step 7:
Finish off your chandelier by hot gluing flowers and any other decorative pieces along the wires...

Happy Crafting!!
